Drupada’s Instruction to the Purohita for the Kaurava Embassy (द्रुपदोपदेशः दूतप्रेषणम्)

Moral authority and persuasion should be grounded in dharma: by appealing to ancestral standards (kuladharma) and compassion for the wronged, one can ethically influence political decision-making and restrain adharma.
Drupada expresses confidence that the addressed envoy/counsellor, acting righteously among the Kuru elders, will present the forefathers’ code and the Pāṇḍavas’ sufferings so effectively that the elders’ loyalties will shift away from Duryodhana.
