Ambā’s Vow of Tapas after Paraśurāma’s Assessment (अम्बाया तपोव्रतनिश्चयः)
ततः सा नियता भूत्वा ऋतुकाले मनस्विनी । पत्नी द्रुपदराजस्य द्रुपदं प्रविवेश ह
tataḥ sā niyatā bhūtvā ṛtukāle manasvinī | patnī drupadarājasya drupadaṁ praviveśa ha ||
随后,她克己守戒,待到合宜之期;德志高迈的德鲁帕陀王后,便依礼守度,前往亲近德鲁帕陀。
भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights niyama (self-restraint) and acting in accordance with ṛtu and social-ritual norms, presenting ethical conduct within marriage as disciplined, timely, and purposeful rather than impulsive.
Bhīṣma narrates that Drupada’s queen, observing the proper time (ṛtukāla) and maintaining restraint, goes to Drupada—indicating a deliberate, dharmic approach to conjugal union and the continuation of lineage.
