सेनापति-निर्णयः तथा पाण्डवसेनायाः कुरुक्षेत्रगमनम्

अक्षौहिण्यो दशैका च कौरवाणां समागता: । तासां प्रमुखतो भीष्मस्तालकेतुर्व्यरोचत,कौरवोंकी ग्यारह अक्षौहिणी सेनाएँ आ गयी हैं। उन सबमें प्रधान हैं भीष्मजी, जो अपने तालध्वजके साथ सुशोभित हो रहे हैं

akṣauhiṇyo daśaikā ca kauravāṇāṃ samāgatāḥ | tāsāṃ pramukhato bhīṣmas tālaketur vyarocata |

风神伐由(Vāyu)说道:“俱卢族的考罗婆(Kaurava)已集结十一支阿叉乌希尼(akṣauhiṇī)大军。诸军之前,毗湿摩(Bhīṣma)执棕榈树旗而立,光彩夺目——那是纪律之力被整肃列阵的形象,为一场其道义重担将沉沉压在统帅身上的战争而备。”
