Karna–Krishna Dialogue: Omens and Dream-Signs
“सब प्रकारकी ओषधियों तथा फल-फूलोंसे वनकी समृद्धि बढ़ी हुई है, धानके खेतोंमें खूब फल लगे हुए हैं, मक्खियाँ बहुत कम हो गयी हैं, धरतीपर कीचड़का नाम नहीं है। जल स्वच्छ एवं सुस्वादु प्रतीत होता है, इस सुखद समयमें न तो अधिक गरमी है और न अधिक सर्दी ही (यह मार्गशीर्षमास चल रहा है) ।।
saptamāc cāpi divasād amāvāsyā bhaviṣyati | saṅgrāmo yujyatāṃ tasyāṃ tām āhuḥ śakradevatām ||
桑阇耶说道：“自今日起再过七日，便是阿摩婆娑夜（新月之夜）。其主宰神被称为释迦罗（因陀罗）。当于此日开战。”
