न हि विज्ञायते शक्र: कि वा प्राप्त: क्व वा गत: । तत्त्वमेतत्‌ तु विज्ञाय यदि न ज्ञायते प्रभो,“अभी यह पता नहीं है कि देवेन्द्र किस अवस्थामें पड़े हैं? अथवा कहाँ चले गये हैं? प्रभो! इसका ठीक-ठीक पता लगानेपर यदि कोई बात मालूम नहीं हो सकी, तो मैं आपकी सेवामें उपस्थित हो जाऊँगी। यह मैं आपसे सत्य कहती हूँ।” इन्द्राणीके ऐसा कहनेपर नहुषको बड़ी प्रसन्नता हुई
