विदुर्य कपिल देवं येनार्ता: सगरात्मजा: । सूर्यके समान तेजस्वी महर्षि कर्दमसे उत्पन्न हुए “चक्रधनु” नामक महर्षि इसी दिशामें रहते थे
Yūparṇa uvāca: Vidura, Kapila-devaḥ sa ṛṣiḥ yena ārtāḥ Sagarātmajāḥ bhasmīkṛtāḥ. Sūrya-sama-tejasvī Mahārṣiḥ Kardamasya utpannaḥ “Cakradhanu” nāma mahārṣiḥ asyāṃ diśi vasati; taṃ sarve “Kapiladeva” iti jānanti. Sa eva Sagarasya putrān bhasma cakāra.
优波尔那说道：“毗度罗啊，就在此方，住着神圣的仙人迦毗罗——光辉如日——出自大圣迦尔达摩，又名持轮弓之仙（Cakradhanu）。世人皆称他为‘迦毗罗天’（Kapiladeva）。正是他将受苦的娑伽罗诸子焚为灰烬。”
