रूपवान् सुभगो दान्त: सत्यवादी जितेन्द्रिय: । दानमानगृहीतश्न कार्यो भवति वाचक:
rūpavān subhago dāntaḥ satyavādī jitendriyaḥ | dānamānagṛhītaś ca kāryo bhavati vācakaḥ ||
毗舍婆耶那说道：“容貌端正、福相具足，能自我克制，说真语，制伏诸根——如此学者，若以布施与敬礼加以供养尊崇，就应任命为诵述者（vācaka）。”
