कूटशाल्मलिकं चापि दुःस्पर्श तीक्ष्णकण्टकम्‌ । ददर्श चापि कौन्तेयो यातना: पापकर्मिणाम्‌

Transliteration

kūṭaśālmalikaṃ cāpi duḥsparśa-tīkṣṇa-kaṇṭakam | dadarśa cāpi kaunteyo yātanāḥ pāpa-karmiṇām ||

Translation

毗湿摩波耶那说：昆蒂之子也看见那迷惑人的娑罗摩梨（śālmalī）树，难以触碰，遍布尖刺；他又看见在那里，对作恶有罪者施加的严酷刑罚。
