Royal Dharma: Vigilance, Just Punishment, Protection of the Vulnerable

Educational Q&A

A king’s prosperity depends on respecting competent ministers and assigning them appropriately to counsel and warfare; right honor and right delegation produce lasting political stability and expansion.

In the Shanti Parva’s instruction on राजधर्म (royal duty), Utatthya teaches principles of effective rulership, emphasizing the ethical and practical necessity of valuing ministers and using them properly in policy and military matters.
