Chapter 72 — Royal Duty: protection of subjects, taxation, punishment, and appointments
एष एव परो धर्मो यद् राजा रक्षति प्रजा: । भूतानां हि यथा धर्मो रक्षणं परमा दया
eṣa eva paro dharmo yad rājā rakṣati prajāḥ | bhūtānāṃ hi yathā dharmo rakṣaṇaṃ paramā dayā ||
毗湿摩宣示：国王至高的职责，正是护佑臣民。对一切有情众生而言，最真实的法（dharma）就是守护本身——以积极而至上的慈悲，保全生命与安乐。
