Daṇḍanīti and the King as the Cause of Yuga-Order (दण्डनीतिः राजधर्मश्च युगकारणत्वम्)
इस जगत्में उस समय रोग नहीं होते, कोई भी मनुष्य अल्पायु नहीं दिखायी देता, स्त्रियाँ विधवा नहीं होती हैं तथा कोई भी मनुष्य दीन-दुखी नहीं होता है ।।
akṛṣṭapacyā pṛthivī bhavanty oṣadhayas tathā | tvakpatraphalamūlāni vīryavanti bhavanti ca ||
毗湿摩说道:“在那一时代,此世无病,无人短寿;女子不为寡妇,亦无人陷于贫苦忧患。大地不待耕犁播种,便自生粮食;药草亦自然而出。即便其皮、叶、果与根,也都天生具足强盛药力。”
भीष्म उवाच
When dharma prevails, nature itself becomes supportive: abundance arises without exploitation, and even medicines are inherently potent. The verse links moral order with ecological and social flourishing.
In Bhishma’s instruction in the Shanti Parva, he describes an ideal age/condition of the world where suffering and scarcity are absent, illustrating the fruits of righteousness through images of effortless harvest and self-arising healing plants.
