Departure to Behold Bhīṣma
तत उत्थाय दाशार्ह: स्नात: प्राउ्जलिरच्युत: । जप्त्वा गुह्ंं महाबाहुरग्नीनाश्रित्य तस्थिवान्
tata utthāya dāśārhaḥ snātaḥ prāñjalir acyutaḥ | japtvā guhyaṃ mahābāhur agnīn āśritya tasthivān ||
毗湿摩波罗衍那说:随后,达沙尔诃(圣克里希纳)自榻起身,沐浴既毕,合掌而立。默诵秘奥的(伽耶特丽)真言之后,这位臂力雄伟的阿周陀便在圣火旁就座——显明他对既定仪轨与日常戒律的坚定不移。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights steadfast adherence to dharma through daily disciplines—purification by bathing, reverent posture, and the confidential japa of Gāyatrī—showing that even the highest person exemplifies regulated conduct and respect for sacred rites.
Kṛṣṇa rises, bathes, performs the ‘secret’ mantra-japa (understood as Gāyatrī), and then sits/stands near the sacred fires with folded hands, preparing for or completing his daily ritual observances.
