Departure to Behold Bhīṣma
गच्छ शैनेय जानीहि गत्वा राजनिवेशनम् । अपि सज्जो महातेजा भीष्म द्रष्ट युधिष्ठिर:
gaccha śaineya jānīhi gatvā rājaniveśanam | api sajjo mahātejā bhīṣmaṃ draṣṭuṃ yudhiṣṭhiraḥ ||
毗湿摩波罗衍那说:“去吧,尸尼之子!往王宫去探明:光威赫奕的尤提希提罗王,是否已备好出发,前往拜见毗湿摩?”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even in urgent or sacred matters, action should proceed with order, readiness, and respect. The king’s approach to Bhīṣma—an elder and source of dharma—requires proper preparation and coordinated conduct, reflecting disciplined kingship and reverence.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Śaineya (Sātyaki) is instructed to go to the palace and check whether King Yudhiṣṭhira is ready to depart to see Bhīṣma, setting up the forthcoming encounter where Bhīṣma will impart teachings on dharma.
