पुत्रत्वमगमद् राजंस्तस्य लोकेश्चरेश्वर: । गाधिनामाभवत् पुत्र: कौशिक: पाकशासन:,उनकी भयंकर तपस्या देखकर और उन्हें शक्तिशाली पुत्र उत्पन्न करनेमें समर्थ जानकर लोकपालोंके स्वामी सहस्र नेत्रोंवाले पाकशासन इन्द्र स्वयं ही उनके पुत्ररूपमें अवतीर्ण हुए। राजन्! कुशिकका वह पुत्र गाधिनामसे प्रसिद्ध हुआ
putratvam agamad rājaṁs tasya lokeś-careśvaraḥ | gādhināmābhavat putraḥ kauśikaḥ pākaśāsanaḥ ||
风神伐由说道:“大王啊,诸世界护法之主为他而入于子嗣之位。惩罚帕迦者因陀罗,生于俱希迦一系,世人称之为‘迦提’(Gādhi)。”
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse highlights the Mahābhārata theme that intense tapas and merit can draw even cosmic powers into one’s lineage: divine authority submits to the moral-spiritual force of ascetic discipline, resulting in an extraordinary birth that serves dharmic purposes.
Vāyu explains to the king that Indra—lord among the world-guardians, famed as Pākaśāsana—took birth as the son in the Kuśika line and became known as Gādhi, indicating a divine incarnation into a human genealogy.
