Righteous authority is grounded in dharma: a king’s public actions should begin with reverence toward the divine order (devas) and the moral-intellectual order (brāhmaṇas), signalling humility, gratitude, and responsibility rather than mere power.
Yudhiṣṭhira, preparing to enter the city, performs worship and honours the gods and large numbers of brāhmaṇas, presenting his entry as a consecrated, dharma-oriented act.
