आश्चर्याणामिवाश्वर्यमिदमेकं तु मे शूणु । विमले यन्मया दृष्टमम्बरे सूर्यसंश्रयात्
Āścaryāṇām ivāścaryam idam ekaṃ tu me śṛṇu | vimale yan mayā dṛṣṭam ambare sūrya-saṃśrayāt ||
“在诸般奇事之中,请听我说这一桩至高的奇事。我将述说我亲眼所见:在澄澈无垢的天空里,以太阳为凭依所见到的景象。”
नाग उवाच

A Nāga begins a didactic account by announcing that, among many marvels, he will relate one exceptional wonder he personally saw in the clear sky, using the sun as the point of reference for what he observed.
