Sincere devotion joined with genuine inquiry is presented as the proper disposition for divine vision; Bhishma points toward Śvetadvīpa as the sacred locus associated with beholding the all-pervading Lord.
Bhishma addresses devoted seekers who ask how the Supreme can be seen, and he begins to answer by indicating a specific transcendent geography: Śvetadvīpa, situated to the north of the Ocean of Milk.
