तेडनुज्ञातास्तत: सर्वे गुरुणा सत्यवादिना । जम्मु: प्रदक्षिणं कृत्वा व्यासं मूर्न्नाभिवाद्य च
te 'nujñātās tataḥ sarve guruṇā satyavādinā | jagmuḥ pradakṣiṇaṃ kṛtvā vyāsaṃ mūrdhnābhivādya ca ||
于是,众弟子既蒙那位言行真实的师长允准,便俯首礼拜,叩首于其足下。继而他们恭敬绕行毗耶娑以致敬意,遂离开了那处。
भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic conduct in the guru–śiṣya relationship: one should act only after receiving the teacher’s permission, and one should express gratitude and humility through respectful salutation and pradakṣiṇā—especially toward revered elders like Vyāsa.
After being granted leave by their truth-speaking guru, the disciples bow at his feet, then circumambulate and salute Vyāsa, and finally depart—marking a formal, respectful conclusion to their audience.
