Śukasya Janma-yoga-phalaṁ — Vyāsasya Tapasā Putrārthaḥ (Śānti-parva 310)
ajñānāt paripṛcchāmi tvaṁ hi jñānamayo nidhiḥ | tad ahaṁ śrotum icchāmi sarvam etad asaṁśayam ||

The verse models the ethical posture of learning: admitting one’s ignorance, approaching a qualified teacher with humility, and seeking complete clarity so that doubt is removed through right understanding.
King Janaka, in a didactic dialogue within the Śānti Parva, addresses a wise interlocutor and requests a full explanation, explicitly stating that his questions arise from not knowing and that he seeks doubt-free understanding.
