The Unmanifest, Prakṛtis, and the Sense-Complex
Attachment to sense-objects blocks the experience of higher spiritual bliss; deliberate renunciation and self-restraint make one fit to realize that supreme joy.
In a didactic passage of the Śānti Parva, the sage Parāśara instructs on the path of inner peace: turning away from sensory indulgence and cultivating renunciation as a prerequisite for realizing the highest happiness.
