Chapter 29
कालवर्षी च पर्जन्य: सस्यानि समपादयत् । नित्यं सुभिक्षमेवासीद् रामे राज्यं प्रशासति
kālavarṣī ca parjanyaḥ sasyāni samapādayat | nityaṃ subhikṣam evāsīd rāme rājyaṃ praśāsati ||
甘霖应时而降,雨神帕尔贾尼亚(Parjanya)使五谷丰登、成熟圆满。罗摩治理国土之时,常有丰饶与昌盛——此乃正法之治的写照,连自然亦护佑众生福祉。
वायुदेव उवाच
Righteous governance (rājadharma) is portrayed as harmonizing society with the natural and cosmic order: when a king rules justly, rains come in season, crops flourish, and the people enjoy steady abundance.
Vāyudeva describes an ideal reign: during Rāma’s administration, Parjanya sends timely rains, agriculture succeeds, and the kingdom experiences continual prosperity (subhikṣa).
