brahmovāca bhavato 'pi surāḥ sarve bhāgaṃ dāsyanti vai prabho | kriyatāṃ pratisaṃhāraḥ sarvadeveśvara tvayā ||
Even when one possesses overwhelming power, ethical order is preserved through restraint: anger should be withdrawn once justice and rightful recognition are secured, and harmony restored through proper shares and mutual obligations.
Brahmā addresses a supreme divine figure, assuring that all the gods will grant him a sacrificial share, and urges him to retract/quiet his intensified wrath—moving the situation from confrontation toward settlement and cosmic balance.
