परिव्राजक-आचारः (Conduct of the Wandering Renunciant) — Mahābhārata, Śānti-parva 269
कर्मवं पुरुषस्याह शुभं वा यदि वाशुभम् | एवं पक््वकषायाणामानन्त्येन श्रुतेन च
karmavaṁ puruṣasyāha śubhaṁ vā yadi vāśubham | evaṁ pakvakāṣāyāṇām ānantyena śrutena ca ||
迦毗罗说:“人的名号与地位,随其所作之业而定——或吉或凶。然而对于那些内在垢染(如贪与嗔)已全然成熟而复尽灭者,欲渴已落者,内外清净者,智慧安住于解脱者;在通达真理之人眼中,凭无量的梵智与闻听圣典之力,一切皆被见为梵本身。此事,我们恒常听闻,乃智者之证言。”
कपिल उवाच
Moral identity and worldly designation follow one’s actions (good or bad), but the purified knower—free from craving and inner defilements—sees all as Brahman through liberating knowledge supported by scriptural hearing.
Kapila is instructing about the ethical force of karma and contrasting it with the liberated perspective: when passions are exhausted and the intellect is fixed on moksha, the world is apprehended as Brahman, as affirmed by traditional scriptural testimony.
