चिरकारि-उपाख्यानम् / The Exemplum of Cirakārī: Deliberation Before Irreversible Action
उभयत्र सुखोदर्क इह चैव परत्र च | अलब्ध्वा निपुणं धर्म पाप: पापेन युज्यते
ubhayatra sukhodarka iha caiva paratra ca | alabdhvā nipuṇaṃ dharmaṃ pāpaḥ pāpena yujyate ||
法(dharma)若得其正而行其当,便在两处结出安乐:此世与彼世。然罪人不以明辨而依止于法,反被罪业所缠,遂分受其苦果。
भीष्म उवाच
Dharma, when properly understood and adopted, produces well-being both in this life and beyond; neglecting dharma through lack of discernment leads one into sin and its inevitable suffering.
In the Shanti Parva’s instruction section, Bhishma continues advising on righteous conduct and its results, contrasting the two paths: thoughtful adherence to dharma versus careless rejection that binds a person to sinful outcomes.
