Jājali–Tulādhāra-saṃvāda: Yajña, Vṛtti, and Ātma-tīrtha (जाजलि-तुलाधार-संवादः)
प्रजा: सृष्टवा महातेजा: प्रजासगे पितामह: । अतीव वृद्धा बहुला नामृष्यत पुनः प्रजा:
prajāḥ sṛṣṭvā mahātejāḥ prajāsarge pitāmahaḥ | atīva vṛddhā bahulā nāmṛṣyata punaḥ prajāḥ ||
那罗陀说:祖父梵天光辉炽盛,既已创造众生,却见在创造之际,生类繁衍得极其浩大而稠密。众生之数过于盈溢,令他难以承受,于是他重新思量:造化当如何继续,方能持久而有序。
नारद उवाच
Even divine creation must be guided by order, proportion, and restraint; unchecked increase leads to imbalance, so dharma includes regulating growth to preserve harmony.
Nārada describes Brahmā creating many beings, after which their numbers become excessively large; Brahmā finds this unsustainable and is led toward rethinking or instituting a regulated mode of creation.
