Adhyāya 249 — Mṛtyu-prādurbhāvaḥ (The Manifestation of Death) / Restraint of Tejas and Ordered Saṃhāra
ततो द्रक्ष्यसि सर्वेषां भूतानां प्रभवाप्ययौ । एन॑ वै सर्वभूतेभ्यो विशिष्ट मेनिरे बुधा: । धर्म धर्मभृतां श्रेष्ठा मुनयस्तत्त्वदर्शिन:
tato drakṣyasi sarveṣāṁ bhūtānāṁ prabhavāpyayau | enaṁ vai sarvabhūtebhyo viśiṣṭaṁ menire budhāḥ | dharmaṁ dharmabhṛtāṁ śreṣṭhā munayas tattvadarśinaḥ |
于是你将能观见一切众生的生起与灭尽。智者确已将此法视为超胜于一切众生;护持正法的圣仙——义者之最上、真理之见者——认定它为至高之道。
व्यास उवाच
By following this dharma/discipline, one gains insight into the cosmic process—how all beings arise and dissolve—and this path is affirmed by wise sages as the highest and most beneficial for all creatures.
Vyāsa speaks authoritatively, endorsing a particular dharma taught in context and validating it through the testimony of budhas and tattvadarśin munis, emphasizing its universal superiority and its power to reveal the origins and ends of beings.
