तपो ह्ाथधिष्ठितं देवैस्तपोघ्नमसुरैस्तम: । एतद्‌ देवासुरैर्गुप्तं तदाहुरज्ञनलक्षणम्‌

Transliteration

tapo hy ādhisthitaṁ devais tapoghnaṁ asurais tamaḥ | etad devāsurair guptaṁ tad āhur ajñāna-lakṣaṇam ||

Translation

毗湿摩说：诸天安住于苦行，而阿修罗则依附于摧毁苦行的黑暗——如伪善、傲慢与阻碍之冲动。然而至上实相对天与阿修罗皆隐而不显；真正的智者宣说：此种遮蔽本身，正是无明之相。
