तपांसि संयोगविधिवेंदा: सतो भा: सरस्वती । नारद: पर्वतश्चैव विश्वावसुर्हहाहुहू:
bhīṣma uvāca | tapāṁsi saṁyogavidhir vedāḥ stobhāḥ sarasvatī | nāradaḥ parvataś caiva viśvāvasur hahā hūhūś ca ||
毗湿摩说道:“大王啊,苦行、主持神圣会合与仪轨的法则、诸吠陀、用以补足娑曼歌咏的斯托婆音节,萨拉斯瓦蒂、那罗陀、帕尔瓦塔,以及乾闼婆毗湿瓦婆苏、哈哈与呼呼——这一切都在彼处齐集。”
भीष्य उवाच
The verse underscores that dharma is upheld through tapas (discipline), Vedic knowledge, and the sanctity of sound (stobhas and chant). Ethical resolve and right ritual order are portrayed as matters of cosmic significance, drawing divine witnesses that validate and protect the moral structure of the world.
Bhishma lists the sacred forces and celestial beings present at the scene—personified austerities, ritual ordinances, the Vedas, chant-syllables, Sarasvatī, sages like Nārada and Parvata, and Gandharvas such as Viśvāvasu, Hahā, and Hūhū—indicating a grand divine assembly accompanying or witnessing a crucial decision or event.
