मनु-उपदेशः — भूत-उत्पत्ति, इन्द्रिय-निवृत्ति, तथा पर-स्वभाव-विवेकः

Manu’s Instruction on Elemental Origination, Sense-Withdrawal, and Discrimination of the Supreme Nature

त्यक्त्वा यः प्राकृतं कर्म नित्यमात्मरतिर्मुनि: । सर्वभूतात्मभूस्तस्मात्‌ स गच्छेदुत्तमां गतिम्‌

tyaktvā yaḥ prākṛtaṃ karma nityam ātmaratir muniḥ | sarvabhūtātmabhūtas tasmāt sa gacched uttamāṃ gatim ||

毗湿摩说:那位沉思的牟尼,舍弃仅属世间、为本性冲动所驱的作为,而恒常安乐于自我之中,便如同成为一切众生之自我;因此得至最高归趣。其伦理旨趣在于:解脱不由强迫性的世间奔逐而得,而由内在的舍离、稳住于自我、以及普遍同一之观——使私我之心消融。
