देवदानवगन्धर्वा दैत्यासुरमहोरगा: । यक्षराक्षसनागाश्न पिशाचा मनुजास्तथा,तदनन्तर देवता, दानव, गन्धर्व, दैत्य, असुर, महान् सर्प, यक्ष, राक्षस, नाग, पिशाच और मनुष्योंको उत्पन्न किया
devadānavagandharvā daityāsuramahoragāḥ | yakṣarākṣasanāgāś ca piśācā manuṣās tathā ||
婆罗堕阇说道:“其后,又生出种种众类——天神与檀那婆、乾闼婆、底提耶与阿修罗、威力巨大的大蛇、夜叉与罗刹、那伽、毗舍遮,以及人类。”
भरद्वाज उवाच
The verse frames dharma within a comprehensive cosmic hierarchy: many kinds of beings exist, each with distinct tendencies and powers, and ethical reflection must account for this broader created order rather than viewing human life in isolation.
Bharadvāja is listing the successive manifestation/creation of various classes of beings—celestials, rival divine races, spirits, serpent-beings, and humans—continuing a cosmological account that explains the populated structure of the world.
