Description of the Path of Meditation
sacetanam jīvaguṇaṃ vadanti sa ceṣṭate ceṣṭayate ca sarvam | ataḥ para kṣetravido vadanti prāvartayad yo bhuvanāni sapta ||
Conscious agency is attributed to the living self, yet a higher principle is affirmed: beyond the individual knower of the body (kṣetrajña) stands the Supreme Self who initiates and governs the cosmic order, including the seven worlds.
In a doctrinal discussion, Bharadvāja articulates a hierarchy of principles: the conscious individual self that acts and impels action, and above it the Supreme Self, identified as the cosmic initiator who set the seven realms in motion.
