Adhyāya 180: Jīva, Śarīra, and the Fire Analogy (भृगु–भरद्वाज संवादः)
इदमिदमिति तृष्णयाभि भूत॑ जनमनवाप्तधनं विषीदमानम् | निपुणमनुनिशम्य तत्त्वबुद्धया व्रतमिदमाजगरं शुचिश्षरामि
idam idam iti tṛṣṇayābhibhūtaṁ janam anavāptadhanaṁ viṣīdamānam | nipuṇam anu-niśamya tattvabuddhyā vratam idam ājagaraṁ śuciḥ śarāmi ||
毗湿摩说道：“世人被渴爱所制，常念‘此当归我，彼亦归我’；不得财物，便陷于无尽的沮丧。我以洞察真实之慧细观其状，遂以清净之心受持此‘蟒蛇之誓’——不作躁急追逐，唯随来者而安受。”
