अनव्यवदहितं यो वा नेदं वाक्यमुपाश्रुते । उग्रायैव हि सृष्टोडसि कर्मणे न त्वमीक्षसे

Transliteration

anavyavadahitaṃ yo vā nedaṃ vākyam upāśṛṇute | ugrāyaiva hi sṛṣṭo ’si karmaṇe na tvam īkṣase ||

Translation

毗湿摩说道：“若你不接受——更确切地说，若你不恭敬而正确地聆听——我这番合乎法度的劝诫，你的行止便不相称。因为你被造就为从事严厉而强力的行动；然而你却未将此真理置于心目之间。”
