Protection of the Refuge-Seeker: Opening of the Kapota Narrative
नासम्यक् कृतकारी स्यादप्रमत्त: सदा भवेत् | कण्टको<पि हि दुश्छिन्नो विकारं कुरुते चिरम्
nāsamyak kṛtakārī syād apramattaḥ sadā bhavet | kaṇṭako 'pi hi duśchinnaḥ vikāraṃ kurute ciram ||
毗湿摩说道:不可将事情草草而止,未善成便弃之;亦当时时警醒。因为即便是一根刺,若拔除不净,仍留碎片于体内,也会长久引发病变与纷扰。此教诲劝人行事周全、持久谨慎:疏忽的微末残留,终能滋长为经年的祸患。
भीष्म उवाच
Finish what you undertake with proper thoroughness and remain constantly vigilant; partial or careless completion leaves harmful remnants that can cause long-lasting trouble.
