Daṇḍotpatti-kathana (Origin and Function of Daṇḍa) — वसुहोम–मान्धातृ संवाद
भर्तप्रत्यय उत्पन्नो व्यवहारस्तथापर: । तस्माद् यः स हितो दृष्टो भर्तप्रत्ययलक्षण:
bhartapratyaya utpanno vyavahāras tathāparaḥ | tasmād yaḥ sa hito dṛṣṭo bhartapratyayalakṣaṇaḥ ||
毗湿摩说道：还有一种司法处置，源于对主宰（或权威）的信赖，它不同于由原告与被告争讼而起的程序。因此，依据这种信赖而作出的裁断或惩罚——称为“婆尔多·普罗提耶”（bhartapratyaya）之类——被认为有益于整个世界的安宁与福祉。
