पश्येदुपायान् विविधै: क्रियापथै- न चानुपायेन मतिं निवेशयेत् । श्रियं विशिष्टां विपुलं यशो धनं न दोषदर्शी पुरुष: समश्चुते
paśyed upāyān vividhaiḥ kriyāpathair na cānupāyena matiṁ niveśayet | śriyaṁ viśiṣṭāṁ vipulaṁ yaśo dhanaṁ na doṣadarśī puruṣaḥ samaśnute ||
毗湿摩说道：“君王当以多种务实的行事之道寻求成功之策，切莫将心思寄托于不正当的手段。那好挑毛病之人——连无过者亦见其过——不能获得卓越的昌盛、丰厚的名声与财富。”
