Bhṛtya-niyoga: Role-appropriate appointment of servants and protection of the royal treasury (भृत्यनियोगः कोशरक्षणं च)

कुलज: प्राकृतो राज्ञा स्वकुलीनतया सदा । न पापे कुरुते बुद्धि भिद्यमानो5प्यनागसि

Transliteration

Bhīṣma uvāca: kulajaḥ prākṛto rājñā svakulīnatayā sadā | na pāpe kurute buddhiṁ bhidyamāno 'py anāgasi ||

Translation

毗湿摩说：出身高贵之人，即便无罪而遭君王苛待，又被旁人折辱羞侮，也不使心念趋向罪恶。由于其天生的高洁与对宗族的忠诚，他从不生起报复之心，更不会想着反害君王。
