शकुनि (हिरण्मय-पक्षी) उपदेशः — Vighasāśin and the Difficulty of Gārhasthya
दुराधर्ष पद चैव गच्छन्ति विघसाशिन: । सायंप्रातर्विभज्यान्नं स्वकुटुम्बे यथाविधि
durādharṣa-padaṁ caiva gacchanti vighasāśinaḥ | sāyaṁ prātar vibhajyānnaṁ sva-kuṭumbe yathā-vidhi ||
凡以“毗伽娑食者”(vighasāśin)而住者——先依法分施饮食,唯食其余——便能证得不可攻夺之境。晨夕之间,他们依正法于家中分配食物,遂趋向那难以征服的目标;其生涯以义务为序:先敬奉诸天、祖灵、宾客与所依之人,然后方取余食自用。
अजुन उवाच
A householder should distribute food properly—honoring gods, ancestors, guests, and dependents first—and eat only the remainder; such disciplined, other-first conduct leads toward an unconquerable spiritual goal.
Arjuna states a dharma teaching: those called vighasāśins, who follow the rule of morning-and-evening distribution of food in the household and eat last, are said to attain a secure, hard-to-overcome state.
