परेषामुपसर्पाणं प्रतिषेधस्तथा भवेत् । आकाशात् तु वनाभ्याशं मन्यन्ते गुणवत्तरम्
bhīṣma uvāca | pareṣām upasarpāṇaṁ pratiṣedhas tathā bhavet | ākāśāt tu vanābhyāśaṁ manyante guṇavattaram |
毗湿摩说道：同样也应具备阻止敌人逼近的手段。与空旷平地相比，靠近森林的据点被认为更为有利，因为它具备多种战略优势——尤其便于遏止敌方的进攻。因此，军营应当扎在林地近旁。
