इन्द्रोडग्निरर्यमा चैव यत्र प्राक्‌ प्रीतिमाप्रुवन्‌ त॑ देशं कारपवनाद्‌ यमुनायां जगाम ह

Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca | indro 'gnir aryamā caiva yatra prāk prītim āpuvan | taṁ deśaṁ kārapavanād yamunāyāṁ jagāma ha | upaviṣṭaḥ kathāḥ śubhrāḥ śuśrāva yadupuṅgavaḥ |

Translation

毗舍波耶那说：“在阎牟那河畔，有一处古昔因陀罗、阿耆尼与阿利耶曼曾得大欢喜之地——从迦罗波伐那出发，耶度族之雄便前往那里。于那圣渡沐浴之后，正直而大力的婆罗提婆心生深喜；继而与诸仙与成就者（悉地者，siddha）同坐，聆听高贵而净化人心的故事。”
