Kārttikeya-Abhiṣecana: Mātṛgaṇa-Nāma Saṃkīrtana and Skanda’s Commission

उन्मादं शड्कुकर्ण च पुष्पदन्तं तथैव च,रुद्रर्वसुभिरादित्यैरश्विभ्यां च वृतः प्रभु: । महापराक्रमी इन्द्र और विष्णु, सूर्य और चन्द्रमा, धाता और विधाता, वायु और अग्नि, पूषा, भग, अर्यमा, अंश, विवस्वान्‌ू, मित्र और वरुणके साथ बुद्धिमान्‌ रुद्रदेव, एकादश रुद्रणण, आठ वसु, बारह आदित्य और दोनों अश्विनीकुमार--ये सब-के-सब प्रभावशाली कुमार कार्तिकेयको घेरकर खड़े हुए

unmādaṃ śaṅkukarṇaṃ ca puṣpadantaṃ tathaiva ca, rudrair vasubhir ādityair aśvibhyāṃ ca vṛtaḥ prabhuḥ |

毗耶娑之弟子毗舍摩波耶那说道:威力无边的主神(迦尔蒂凯耶)立于其间,周遭环侍者有乌摩达、商拘迦耳那与普湿波檀多;又有诸鲁陀罗、诸婆苏、诸阿底提耶,以及双生阿湿毗尼天神同来围绕。此景并非将战神描绘为孤身英雄,而是显出他为宇宙秩序所扶持:诸大神与其眷属齐集其侧,昭示共同的认可、克制而有纪律的威势,并使武力与神圣治理相契合。
