द्वैपायनह्रदे दुर्योधनान्वेषणम् / The Search for Duryodhana at Dvaipāyana Lake
आचक्षीथा: सर्वमिदं मां च मुक्त महाहवात् । अस्मिंस्तोयहदे गुप्तं जीवन्तं भृशविक्षतम्
sañjaya uvāca |
ācakṣīthāḥ sarvam idaṃ māṃ ca mukta-mahāhavāt |
asmiṃs toyahrade guptaṃ jīvantaṃ bhṛśa-vikṣatam ||
三阇耶说道:“把这一切都告诉他,也把我的事告诉他——我已从那场大决战中脱身——并告知:难敌尚活着,却伤势沉重,正藏身于这满水之湖中。”
संजय उवाच
The verse underscores the moral and psychological aftermath of adharma-driven war: even a powerful king is reduced to concealment and suffering, and truth must be reported plainly despite loyalty or fear.
Sañjaya instructs that the full message be conveyed: he has escaped the great battle, and Duryodhana—still alive but badly wounded—has hidden himself in a water-filled lake.
