प्रगुह्दा विपुलं खड़॒गं सहदेवाय प्राहिणोत् । राजेन्द्र! धनुष कट जानेपर उस समय सुबलपुत्र शकुनिने एक विशाल खड़्ग लेकर उसे सहदेवपर दे मारा ।। तमापतन्तं सहसा घोररूप॑ विशाम्पते
praguhyā vipulaṁ khaḍgaṁ sahadevāya prāhiṇot | rājendra! dhanuṣ-kaṭa-jānepara usa samaya subalaputraḥ śakunir ekaṁ viśālaṁ khaḍgaṁ gṛhītvā taṁ sahadevaṁ prati mumoca || tam āpatantaṁ sahasā ghorarūpaṁ viśāmpate
三阇耶说道：“大王！就在那时，苏婆罗之子沙昆尼夺起一柄巨剑，向萨诃提婆掷去。那兵刃形貌可怖，骤然疾坠而下——这正显出战场之上，诡计与突发的暴烈常用来击中甚至正直的对手，在混乱中考验人的镇定与明辨。”
