Chapter 23: Śakuni Reports, Kaurava Advance, and Arjuna’s Penetration of the Host
वृकगृध्रशृगालानां तुमुले मोदने5हनि । आसीद्ू बलक्षयो घोरस्तव पुत्रस्य पश्यत:,भेड़ियों, गीधों और सियारोंका आनन्द बढ़ानेवाले उस भयंकर दिनमें आपके पुत्रकी आँखोंके सामने कौरव-सेनाका घोर संहार हुआ
vṛka-gṛdhra-śṛgālānāṃ tumule modane 'hani | āsīd balakṣayo ghoras tava putrasya paśyataḥ ||
在那可怖之日,群狼、秃鹫与豺狗喧然欢喜之时,你儿子眼前,俱卢大军遭逢惨烈覆灭。
संजय उवाच

Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that on a horrific day of battle there was a massive slaughter of the Kaurava forces, occurring right before the eyes of Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s son (Duryodhana).
