प्रययु: सिंहनादेन दुर्योधनपुरोगमान् । उस कौरवदलको धावा करते देख पाण्डव-वीर सिंहके समान गर्जना करके दुर्योधन आदिकी ओर बढ़ चले
prayayuḥ siṃhanādena duryodhanapurogāmān |
三阇耶说道:般度五子诸英雄发出狮子般的咆哮,向杜尤陀那及其前锋猛然推进。见俱卢军团冲锋而来,他们以无畏的狮吼相应,迎面而上,投入战阵。
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights kṣatriya-dharma in its narrative form: when confronted by an advancing enemy, the warriors respond with steadiness and courage, meeting force with disciplined resolve rather than fear—an ethical ideal of duty-bound bravery in battle.
Sañjaya describes the battlefield moment when the Pāṇḍava fighters, roaring like lions, move forward toward Duryodhana and the Kaurava leaders at the front, as both sides close in for combat.
