यस्तेषां तदवस्थानां द्रह्ेत पुरुषोडनृजु: । व्यक्ते स नरके मज्जेदगाधे विपुले5प्लवे
yas teṣāṃ tad-avasthānāṃ drakṣet puruṣo 'nṛjuḥ | vyakte sa narake majjed agādhe vipule 'plave, prabho ||
主上啊,若在那般情形——他们无疑无备地卧倒之时——有一残忍而狡曲之人怀着背叛与加害之意注视他们,此人必将沉入地狱:如同广大深邃之海,无舟可救。
कृप उवाच
The verse teaches that treacherously harming enemies who are helpless (asleep, unarmed, unsuspecting) violates dharma and leads to severe karmic consequence, symbolized as sinking into a vast, boatless ocean of hell.
Kṛpa warns his lord that the Pañcālas are likely sleeping at night after removing armor and becoming unwary; he cautions that betraying and attacking them in that state is a grievous adharma that condemns the perpetrator to hell.
