Escalation of Wagers and Shakuni’s Repeated Declarations of Victory
विविशुस्ते5भ्यनुज्ञाता रत्नवन्ति गृहाणि च । ददृशुश्नोपयातांस्तान् दुःशलाप्रमुखा: स्त्रिय:
vaiśampāyana uvāca | viviśus te 'bhyanujñātā ratnavanti gṛhāṇi ca | dadṛśuś copayātāṁs tān duḥśalāpramukhāḥ striyaḥ ||
毗湿摩波耶那说：得了许可之后，他们进入了珠宝装饰的居所。那里，以杜沙拉为首的诸位妇人看见他们到来。般度子虽在礼仪上以奢华相待，然俱卢家内眷并非人人都能纯然欢喜；当她们直面与德罗帕蒂及般度子相连的光耀富贵与尊严时，外在款待之下，已隐隐透出嫉妒的阴影。
