The verse highlights how public acts of support—fitting a chariot component and raising a banner—function as visible commitments in political and martial contexts, where loyalty is demonstrated through concrete service rather than mere words.
Duryodhana is describing how allies and kings contribute to outfitting and honoring a chariot: Sunītha installs a key undercarriage fitting, and the king of Cedi personally hoists the banner, signaling readiness and collective backing.
