Educational Q&A

Legitimate sovereignty is framed as dharma-bound: royal authority is publicly affirmed through correct ritual procedure and through honoring those worthy of honor (seers and brāhmaṇas), showing that power is to be exercised under sacred and ethical norms.

On the consecratory day of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Rājasūya-related rites, the honored seers and brāhmaṇas, along with assembled kings, enter the inner ritual arena, setting the stage for subsequent events in the ceremony (including discussions leading toward Kṛṣṇa’s preeminent worship).
