इतिहासोपवेदाश्ष वेदाड़ानि च सर्वश: । ग्रहा यज्ञाक्ष सोमश्ष देवताक्षापि सर्वश:,इतिहास, उपवेदः, सम्पूर्ण वेदांग, ग्रह, यज्ञ, सोम और समस्त देवता,
itihāsopavedāś ca vedāṅgāni ca sarvaśaḥ | grahā yajñāś ca somaś ca devatāś cāpi sarvaśaḥ ||
那罗陀说道:“一切《伊提诃娑》与《副吠陀》,以及吠陀诸支(吠陀支分)尽皆圆满;诸圣‘格罗诃’(祭仪所用之器与供献)、诸祭(耶祭)、苏摩,并且一切天神——无不尽摄于此。”
नारद उवाच
The verse asserts the comprehensiveness and sacred authority of the knowledge being referenced: it is not partial or sectarian, but inclusive of epic tradition (itihāsa), applied Vedic sciences (upaveda), the auxiliary disciplines (vedāṅga), and the full ritual-divine framework (graha, yajña, soma, devatāḥ). Ethically, it implies that right judgment should be grounded in the totality of dharma-bearing tradition rather than selective citation.
Nārada is emphasizing that the subject under discussion is all-encompassing—embracing scriptural lore, ritual components, and the divine order itself. In the Sabha Parva context, such a statement functions to underline the weight and completeness of the tradition being invoked in the royal assembly setting.
